Let’s get together!
I’m excited to be heading to London for the LVS on Wednesday. Not just because I’m looking forward to hanging out with a few mates from college, the team from Vets: Stay, Go or Diversify and presenting my lecture in the business stream on Friday, but because I’m going to be launching EMERGE Veterinary as well.
The business cards and flyers are printed, the lecture template is written and the website launches today. I’m anxious and excited in equal measure because my contribution to helping improve veterinary wellbeing is now a real thing! I hope you like it?
EMERGE Veterinary does several things, some of which are ready to go right now and also some really exciting projects that will launch in 2018. The planning is well under way and we’ll launch them as soon as we can. You can check our progress by subscribing to our newsletter or following us on Facebook.
The concept is to be a catalyst for change and to help the next, emergent group of vets develop by bringing effective new ways to deal with the everyday challenges of being a vet. We’ll challenge you in all the right ways and in a safe environment, enabling personal transformations, exploring new solutions and rejuvenating individual lives and careers.
I’m fortunate to have had a varied veterinary career, to have been exposed to a wide network of people and a variety of personal development activities. I think I’ve found a group of transformative interventions for all veterinary professionals and I’m looking forward to bringing them to you.
Whether it’s a career change, hanging out with your peers in a networking forum or personal coaching, we’ll nurture your reflections, support your actions and help you re-ignite your spark.
Everything we plan to do will be a world away from your usual classroom CPD, delivered in places and in ways to help stimulate and engage. It’ll count as CPD though, because each part is tailored to enable you to flourish as a veterinary professional, regardless of what role you do. It’s true personal development.
